Forest Rim Technology was founded by Author and Technology Pioneer Bill Inmon.  Best known as the “Father of Data Warehousing”, Bill Inmon has become the most prolific and well-known author worldwide in the big data analysis, data warehousing, and business intelligence arena.

In addition to authoring more than 60 books and 1,000s of articles, Bill has been a monthly columnist with the Business Intelligence Network, EIM Institute, and Data Management Review.

Bill Inmon publishes the first book ever on the data warehouse, “Building the Data Warehouse’, which goes on to sell 500,000+ copies and is available in 7 languages.

1992

The Onset of ETL

Bill Inmon takes his company “Prism Solutions” public, offering the first ETL solution.

1996

The Revelation

Long before the rise of IoT Smartphones and Big Data, Bill realizes the need for an textual data warehouse is imminent 

Early 2000s

Inception of Forest Rim Technology

Bill independently establishes Forest Rim Technology to begin the development of an ETL solution for the textual data warehouse and the idea of “Textual ETL is born.

2008

Product Development

Bill publishes 40+ books and finishes crafting the 67 algorithms capable of addressing the nuances found in language and comprehending context. 

2008-2020

The Forest Rim Team

Bill forms a leadership team.  A cloud version of Textual ETL is launched allowing a sustainable and scalable business model. Industry leaders  take notice and partnerships critical to the distribution strategy emerge.
